We are looking for an entrepreneurial and highly motivated New Business Director to lead our growth efforts. You will be responsible for identifying, nurturing, and securing new clients while expanding into new verticals such as Food and Drink, Health and Wellness, and Fashion. You will work closely with our CEO, CVO, and Client Services Director to craft strategies that broaden our market reach and cement our reputation as industry leaders. A huge plus is for the candidate to have developed strong relationships with their clients over the years, and is capable of representing Campfire to those people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive new business growth through lead generation, networking, and managing sales pipelines.
- Actively seek new clients that can benefit from our skills, technology and strengths.
- Lead pitches and presentations, articulating Campfire’s unique value to prospective clients.
- Manage the full sales process from initial outreach to contract closure.
- Focus on expanding into new verticals including Food and Drink, Health and Wellness, and Fashion.
- Use data insights and market research to inform and adjust business strategies.
Experience and Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in a sales or business development role, ideally within agencies or startups.
- A proven track record of securing high-value contracts, particularly in beauty and adjacent markets.
- Strong skills in digital marketing and a data-driven approach to business development.
- Experience using CRM software and sales tools to manage client pipelines and performance metrics.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills, with a strong ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships for continued growth.
Strategic Focus:
- The New Business Director will focus exclusively on client acquisition while working towards expanding into new markets such as Food and Drink, Health and Wellness, and Fashion.
KPIs and Success Metrics:
- Meeting or exceeding revenue targets and increasing the number of new clients.
- Reducing the time from first contact to deal closure.
- Successfully acquiring clients in new sectors while maintaining strong client retention rates.
Team Collaboration:
This role requires close collaboration with the CEO, CVO, and Client Services Director, with future potential for involvement with a Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). While the role initially won’t have direct reports, it may evolve to include team leadership responsibilities as the business scales.
